Use this page when your AI app cannot connect to TryRoki or can connect but does not use the tools.

Connection fails outright

Check these first:
  • The server URL is exactly https://app.tryroki.com/mcp/articles.
  • If you use an API key, the header is exactly Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY.
  • You replaced YOUR_API_KEY with the API key from the TryRoki MCP integration page.
  • If you use a connect-token URL, you copied the full URL from TryRoki.
  • Your network or company firewall allows the AI app to reach https://app.tryroki.com.

OAuth completes, but no tools appear

Try these steps:
1

Reconnect the app

Remove the TryRoki connector from your AI app, then add it again.
2

Scan tools again

In ChatGPT, run Scan Tools again after OAuth finishes. In other clients, restart or refresh the MCP server.
3

Check the workspace

Make sure you signed in to the TryRoki account that owns the workspace you want to use.

Tools appear, but the model never calls them

Ask directly for TryRoki by name on the first request:
If the client asks for tool approval, approve the TryRoki tool call. Some apps do not call newly installed tools until you mention the tool or connector by name.

Health check

Support may ask you to test the health endpoint:
It returns the server version, spec revision, tool count, and whether your workspace has completed a successful MCP call.
